At Austin Farm Academy our intent is to provide an effective History curriculum that inspires a love for the subject, promotes historical understanding, and develops crucial skills in our pupils.

We aim to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of identity within the context of both the local and global history.

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that every child has a solid foundation in historical knowledge, enabling them to make connections, ask meaningful questions, and engage with historical sources.

In KS1 we have reviewed the order of our teaching to prepare our pupils for the new History curriculum Opening Worlds in KS2.
